The Cherry County Bridge is derived from actual steel truss bridges across the Niobrara River in Cherry County, Nebraska near Valentine. The owner/designer of Moosman Bridge grew up near an example in rural Cherry County. These impressive structures were built late 1800’s and early 1900’s, many are renovated and working today. Moosman Bridge has introduced Douglas Fir to this timeless design which in turn softens the look and increases the appeal. The Cherry County is available in an open top or covered version. The open top style gives a simple geometric design of steel tension rods, while the covered version provides a low profile steel canopy. n.
